February 2026

mike-fina_nl-feature

As February unfolds, we are energized by the unity and strength that define the union community. At the Union Labor Advisory Network, our work continues to be guided by pride, solidarity, and a steadfast commitment to supporting working families and the communities they build.

This year, the ULA Network is focused on meaningful growth expanding workforce development partnerships with Level Up, WDI, and other like-minded organizations, strengthening CTE pipelines, and advancing VFW remediation projects through the ULA Network Charitable Foundation and Vets 4 Vets Community Construction initiatives. Each project creates real opportunities and makes a tangible impact.

We remain committed to championing tradeswomen, connecting young people with apprenticeship pathways, supporting union veterans, and elevating important conversations around mental wellness and member benefits. This work reflects who we are — united by purpose and dedicated to the long-term strength of organized labor.

Our VFW remediation efforts are already underway. We kicked off with hands-on work,  completing plumbing repairs at VFW Edward F. Lukoski Post 7096 and beginning bathroom renovations at VFW John F Prince Post 6478. By restoring safe, functional spaces, we are helping ensure these posts remain welcoming hubs for veterans with much more to come.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and union partners for trusting the ULA
Network to amplify union voices, showcase member services, and deliver impactful media that strengthens communities across the nation.

Solidarity in Action: Union Labor Showing Up for Veterans

On a snowy Sunday morning, volunteers came together through the ULA Network Vets 4 Vets Community Construction Project — part of the NYC Department of Veterans’ Services Joseph P. Dwyer Initiative — to complete plumbing remediation and repairs at VFW Post 7096. With support from the Plumbers Local 1 Women’s Committee and The Mission Continues, the effort marks the beginning of continued support for VFWs and American Legions across New York — proving that when union labor, community partners, and veterans unite, real impact follows.
