<p>Meet Vincent Alu, Business Manager &#38; Secretary-Treasurer of Laborers Local 66, representing over 600 union members across Nassau and Suffolk County. In this inspiring sit-down, Vincent shares how he entered the trades as a 40-year-old apprentice and worked his way up through passion, purpose, and persistence. 💪🎓 Now, he’s giving back — leading workforce development efforts, building pathways from high school to union careers, and fighting to ensure the next generation of laborers are trained, supported, and ready to lead.🏗️ Under his leadership, Local 66 has played a major role in constructing Long Island’s schools, hospitals, airports, and public spaces. But what Vincent is most proud of? Bringing union skills training directly into public schools and creating real, life-changing opportunities for young people.💬 “Organized labor was the ladder out of just getting by.”🎥 Watch the full interview to hear Vincent’s story and learn how Local 66 is shaping the future of Long Island, one project — and one apprentice — at a time. #UnionStrong #LaborersLocal66 #FutureOfWork #Apprenticeship #BuildingTrades #WorkforceDevelopmentTo Learn More Visit: www.local66.orgThe ULA Network would like to thank our sponsors and supporters for believing in our mission to support educate and promote our union labor family and our communities.
