The Union Labor Advisory Network continues to grow through the strength of our union partners, sponsors, and supporters who share a commitment to building stronger communities and creating opportunities for working families. Across the labor movement, union members continue to make a lasting impact through their skill, dedication, and service.

In the months ahead, we are excited to advance several new veteran-focused initiatives aimed at improving and revitalizing VFW and veterans’ halls. Through remediation, repairs, and facility upgrades, these projects will help create welcoming spaces where veterans can gather, connect, and enjoy the camaraderie that is so important to their communities. We also look forward to highlighting Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and workforce development partnerships that are helping introduce the next generation to rewarding careers in the union trades.

SEIU Local 246 President Joseph Colangelo

The ULA Network sits down with SEIU Local 246 President Joseph Colangelo to discuss his journey from aircraft mechanic to labor leader and his commitment to serving the union community. In this interview, President Colangelo shares his career experience, the diverse members and specialized trades represented by Local 246, and the important work they do to help keep New York City moving.

In this episode, Mike Fina sits down with Marty Glennon, Partner at Archer, Byington, Glennon & Levine LLP, to discuss his journey from IBEW Local 3 electrician to labor attorney and advocate for union members. Together, they explore how union labor extends beyond the jobsite through initiatives like the Vets 4 Vets Community Construction Project, where members of the building trades are coming together to support veterans through repairs, renovations, and community-driven service projects.
