Retiree Division Director from CWA Local 1180 for sitting down with Michael Fina to discuss her background, history and experience with Local 1180, as well as, the benefits and support provided to their retirees.
"CWA Local 1180’s Retiree Division is a supplemental benefit to retirees and part of a comprehensive package designed to enrich members’ lives and secure a fulfilling post-career life.
The Division addresses the diverse needs of Local 1180 retirees and empowers them by helping members understand, access and utilize their health benefits received as a retiree of the City of NY and Local 1180.
The Division also encourages a continued connection to the union and offers an active lifestyle. A variety of classes, day trips and overnight trips, computer and technology training, classes on cooking, photography, yoga, dance and much more are all part of our active program for retired members. Touching the recreational, social, psychological, educational and cultural needs and interests of our members ensures a wide array of
opportunities will be available for them.
Many retirees do not have a plan for retirement beyond spending some extra time on a hobby. The Retiree Division is a safety net to retirees providing access to a first class social program and expert benefit support that would be otherwise inaccessible." Suzanne E. Beatty
